I had pizza for lunch today

I sat in the sun at the Waterfront and gave the seagulls the crust once I was done. And the crust is one of the best parts. I must be a good person after all.

Turn up the radio, blast the stereo LOUD

As much as I dislike women in general, I absolutely love my girlfriends, without reserve or exception. I spent the entire weekend with the girls, Amy in particular, and it was farkin' AWESOME.
I'd just like to get the soppy bit out the way and say  I love you guys...(or girls, rather)...and thank you for a banging weekend!

Friday night Amy and I missioned to the Spar to get stuff for Saturday's braai - I'm pretty sure everyone in the store thought we were drunk or stoned (I wanna Moon Pie...). Never has sausage seemed so funny. After getting ready we went to Long Street Cafe for supper, then to the Sleepers gig at Mercury, then to Gandalf's (surprise surprise). We tore up the dancefloor (and Amy tore up her liver with about 7 or 8 DBCs) until about 4am, then made plans to go shopping the next morning.

At 11:15am I picked up (a VERY hungover) Amy and we went to Meltz, where we found heaven - we bought matching jerseys (dude we must be careful not to wear those at the same time) as well as other stuff, then toddled off to pick up Abby Wabby Woo. Destination: Cavendish, for a hangover breakfast at the Wimpy. Normal breakfast for me - I was Daisy on Friday and I think Aimz was hungover enough for the both of us - she had an urge to nap just about everywhere, from the changerooms at Meltz to the car to the Wimpy!
After we'd polished off our tasty double-up breakfasts we did some more shopping, then headed off to The Braai.

Noo & Al came through as well, and we had the tastiest braai EVER, despite being historically challenged as far as braaing is concerned - lies, all lies! We took loads of photos, ate yummy food, watched a trashy movie, played 30 seconds and giggled like idiots - all the ingredients for a good time :)
Much later, Amy, Abby & I (go team emo!) got tarted up and went to Tin Man - yes, very dodgy place but we were in a dodgy mood - and tore up the dancefloor some more. I gave The Sexiest Shoes In The World a spin, and I'm more in love than ever! Abby stayed til about two, and let me tell you that you gave us quite a workout Miss Mills - that girl has got SO much energy - looking forward to going out after your exams :D

At about 3:30 Amy & I decided it was time to head back home to the nice warm bed we had waiting for us (hooray for electric blankies). After a bite to eat (and another giggle about the word 'sausage'), we crawled into bed...and then OMG the fucking neighbour started playing Celine Dion.
Vaseline Dion. LOUDLY. At 4am. Wtf? Anyway. We got to sleep eventually and only woke up at noon. We had the most amazing fryup in front of the TV (where Amy strongly considered fallilng asleep because she was hungover...again...) and then vegged while watching a movie. (Peek up thee phooone!) The perfect chilled end to the weekend.

Had such an awesome time, and have so many great memories, all from 48 hours. This weekend rocked hard enough for two weekends. I can't wait to see what the next one has in store.
What's the plan girls?

Daniel Powter, 'Love You Lately': "Well I might have made a few mistakes but that was back when you would smile / and we would go everywhere but we ain't been there for a while..."

today just got a whole lot better

Sitting at my desk, minding my own business, working on a Celine Dion promo (yeeech), when the other copywriter says "Hey, check out the two hot guys in reception."

So of course I stick my head around the door to see (wouldn't you?).

It's the Chippendales!!!

Fully clothed and only two of them, mind you, but two is more than enough. Got my photo taken with them, had mini chat - they can actually string more than two words together, and relatively intelligent words too. My first reaction to the Chippendales has usually been less than complimentary (see Celine Dion above), and it'll still have to be a cold day in hell before I go see one of their shows, but I gotta say - this whole corn-fed midwestern USA beefcake thing is Not Bad.

Mee-yow!
